City Chevrolet leading dealership for Chevrolet in Charlotte, NC, has in stock Chevrolet vehicles fitted with E85. This fuel consists of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. Ethanol, the major component of this fuel, is produced out of corn grown in the US.

/Recreational Vehicles News Articles/ - CHARLOTTE, NC, September 10, 2008 - About a dozen different Chevrolet models come with E85- flexible engines for this year. This is a major step on the road to meeting General Motors' goal of making half its annual vehicle production E85 or bio-diesel capable by 2012.

General Motors claims that it offers the most number of such alternative fuel vehicles compared to any other manufacturer in the country. Currently, there are about 2.5 million flex-fuel General Motors vehicles. The following is the current list of these vehicles, along with their EPA-estimated mileage:
• Cobalt XFE Coupe: 36 mpg;
• Cobalt XFE Sedan: 36 mpg;
• Aveo 5: 34 mpg;
• Aveo Sedan: 34 mpg;
• Malibu Hybrid: 32 mpg;
• Malibu LTZ: 32 mpg;
• HHR: 30 mpg;
• HHR Panel: 30 mpg;
• Impala: 29 mpg;
• Tahoe Hybrid 2WD: 22 mpg;
• Tahoe 2WD: 20 mpg and
• Silverado 1500: 20 mpg.
